Rad + Happy for Cricut in Joann Stores
I have such fun news for you all!!!!! My friend and fellow designer Tara from Rad + Happy has her new line available in Joann stores NOWWWW!!! If you have ever met Tara you know all the sunshine and happiness that exudes from her as well as her work. I was so glad that we got to meet in person and talk to crafters about expanding their creativity and crafting fearlessly! We had a blast in Ohio last march kicking off Cricut’s Fearless Crafting Campaign, and I’m hoping you’ve had a chance to follow along here on my Instagram stories! If not you can still, go check it out and catch up.
What is the best homemade gift for Mother’s Day?
One of my most favorite gifts is getting Mother’s day coupon books from my kids. I’m a working mom and always love an extra hand around the house! This year we are making some cute Mother’s Day Coupons for my mom. I think the kids will be really excited to be making them for their Grandmas. I’m going to use my Cricut to get them all cut out along with a cute “Mother” banner for a chair backer, or centerpiece. Once they’re all cut I’ll let them color on the yellow pages with their cute writing and make adorable coupons.
Natalie Malan for Cricut – Wild Rose Projects
Our new Wild Rose Cricut Design Space projects are out! I’m SO happy you can start using these cut files! They are even included in Cricut Access! Whaat!!! You heard me right. They are included in Cricut Access! If you’re not familiar with Cricut Access it’s a subscription to a gigantic library of Cricut cut files. Find out more about that here. And not to worry if you aren’t an Access member, you can get the files separately, or in a bundle too! Huge thanks to the lovely folks at Cricut for making sure you’d get to play with our files early!
It’s here! The new Cricut Wild Rose Explore Air 2 machine is out, and I couldn’t be more excited to tell you ALL about it! It is an Explore Air 2, which means you can use your favorite Cricut pens as well as a fantastic scoring stylus on your projects! AND it’s an “Air” so you can connect through bluetooth to your phone, computer or tablet! It’s a Joann exclusive color and I am sooooo excited to get it all set up and looking pretty in my craft room! It’s currently only available here online, but will be in stores soon.
Cricut Explore 2 VS Silhouette Cameo What should you buy?
To begin, I have designed freelance work for Cricut, and I am always asked my opinion on die cut machines. I have never used a Silhouette until now and I’m excited to be able to talk more about the Cricut VS Silhouette dilemma. Since both of my machines were sent to me for free, I believe this helps me review them both with less preferential treatment. The opinions I’m sharing on both machines are all my own. What’s important to me may not be important to you so keep that in mind as you read.
Disclaimer: I received both the Silhouette Cameo and the Cricut Explore 2 for free to use and review. Please note that this post contains affiliate links for your convenience in purchasing whichever machine you decide is right for you! But as always all opinions are 100% my own.
Cricut Free Cuts of the Week
Be sure to head over to Cricut before 7/5 to try out two of my favorite “One Cut” cards! My Get Well Soon card and also my Thanks card are both available as part of their Cricut Free Cut of the Week program! They are both from my Simple Cards Cartridge – which is chock full of easy, fast and cute cards to make! When I was designing it, I kept thinking that I wanted something I could make for friends and family that had my own personal touch, but that was fast and easy to put together for those days when I had no extra hands and no time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Guys!!! I’m pretty sure the ENTIRE cartridge is free to use this week!!!! Go play!!!
My newest release for Cricut© is a set of dies called “Animal Crackers” for their Cuttlebug© machine! And they are TEENSY! The penguin is smaller than the width of my thumb. And they emboss! These were super fun to draw and it felt like forever waiting for production and then getting them in the mail. My son thought I was taking forever getting them photographed before I let them play with them, so he was thrilled when Penny and I made up a bunch of flat lays for fun this morning and we got to cut a bunch out. They are so fast because you can cut a bunch all at one time. Score one for mama; everyone had several to play with in just one pass in my Cuttlebug.
