How to make an Easy Cricut Iron On Valentine Tshirt

My daughter has been planning a valentine party since Oct, and we decided some quick and easy Tshirts would be perfect.  I found this image in Design Space and thought it was a perfect fit, so I whipped one up while she was away at school.

For your convenience I’m adding Both Cricut.com links AND Amazon links for you to use.

This particular sampler is one of my favorites; and has easy patterns to use on most any project!

And just in case you were wondering; I’m making not one but TWO shirts this week, so be sure to come back soon for the second!

Open up your packaging and unroll your patterned Iron on vinyl.

Take the clear sheet off your mat, and save it for later.

Be sure to place your Iron on vinyl FACE DOWN (shiny side down!!!) on your mat!  The shiny side is your clear carrier sheet that we will peel off later.

Design your image.  The one I used can be found here in Design Space.

Once you have measured your project and decided on the right size for your shirt, click “Make”.

Be sure to click “Mirror” when cutting your vinyl!

Once my image is all cut, I like to use the card Board tube to remove the vinyl from the mat but rolling it back onto the tube.

It works great, and keeps your Iron on and vinyl from getting creased.

I like to weed out the largest piece of vinyl first.

After I have the big back piece gone, I’ll use my handy weeding tool to pick out any centers in the letters.

Place the Iron On Vinyl about 3 fingers down from the neckline of the Tshirt.

Make sure everything is nice and straight. Then use the Cricut Easy Press Heat Guide to set your machine to the correct settings.

The easy press has two buttons to help you set the temperature correctly, as well as a handy timer.

Follow all the directions shown in the Easy Press Guide to iron your heat transfer vinyl onto the page.

My cotton tshirt and patterned iron called for “cold peel” so I waited until the project was completely cool before peeling away the carrier sheet!

I actually think both my boys and my girls will love this shirt equally well! I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and video and be sure to give me a follow on Pinterest, Instagram, My secret facebook page, and YouTube!
