Making cute DIY Halloween Pillows with your Cricut or Wild Rose Cricut Explore Air2 is so fast, easy, and fun!  These one cut files are all prepped and ready for you in Design Space, and incredibly simple to make a stunning project with little effort on your part.  The best part is, they are just pillow covers so they fold up TINY to store away for years to come!

These fun pillows are on my couch and on my chairs in my front entry.

I’ll admit that I love Halloween; running around with my kids in costumes and getting candy – what could be better than that?  The second year I went with my oldest baby, it was hailing and that didn’t stop us one bit!  I don’t really love super cutesy OR gruesome halloween decor so making my own has always been my favorite.  Here’s a little secret for you; I made these pillows 7+ years ago and they have held up both in style ,and in quality for that entire time!!!  I’m happy to say I still love them just as much this year as the very first year I made them.

A little close up so you can really appreciate all the detail that the Cricut is known for cutting so well!

I designed these images for Cricut back before I started Licensing images and artwork under my own brand, and they’ve always been some of my favorite.  The good news is you can find them as part of a Cricut Access subscription, or you can use the files individually too!  Below is the link to the Make it Now file I created to make this project super fast and easy.

Measure your pillow and make sure the images will fit.  Mine images were around 11 inches wide.  Cut your Images using the “Mirror” feature explained above.

Turn on your Cricut Bright Pad and get to work Weeding your images.  I’ll admit this is my favorite part.  I could weed images cut on the Cricut Iron On all day long because they peel up like butter.  It’s just so rewarding to see your image coming through!

Weeding is the process of removing any pieces you don’t want on your final project from the glossy clear carrier sheet.  I love the gold weeding tool that came with my Wild Rose Explore Air 2 bundle.  It’s the little gold hook that helps pull the pieces off so easily.

Follow the directions for your particular pillow and vinyl materials in the Easy Press Settings online guide with your easy press to adhere your design to the pillow.
