Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and I know it’s hard to get all the things done; so I made this quick and easy Valentine banner garland that cuts out of two 12×12 sheets of paper.  I can’t stand wasting time or paper so I filled all the empty spots with cute hearts to use for decorating!  I hope you enjoy this easy tutorial and check out the video here on Instagram too!  Be sure to pin some pictures so you can find it again later and follow my Pinterest boards for more fun projects!

Download the Free SVG at the end of this post, and upload it into design space.  I used two sheets of my JuneBerry Cricut Paper for this project!  It’s double sided and the colors are perfect together, so when you cut the hearts they are double sided so it looks like you are doing way more work than you actually are.

The first page of the Be Mine garland is in Cricut Design space and ready to cut!

Load your paper on your mat using the rulers as guides.

Click the load paper button and insert your paper into your machine.  When the Cricut button is flashing it’s ready to cut.  Press the flashing Cricut button.

Watching the Cricut cut is always my favorite part.

Peel away the extra paper and see all your perfectly cut pieces!

You can see as you remove the extra pieces that the back of this JuneBerry paper is super cute and festive!  We scaled the dots down so they would be perfect for projects big or small.

Carefully remove all your cut Cricut pieces.

I love my XL Cricut scraper tool for removing all the little tiny stuck on pieces.

Load up your next paper and repeat the same process!

I also use my XL Scraper tool to burnish down my paper onto my mat before cutting.

All loaded and ready to cut!

A sneak peek at the letters!

The second page of letters is all set!

Another trick I love is to peel my mat away from the back of the paper; this keeps the paper from curling and won’t harm the mat at all.

Peeling this way can curl your letters if your mat is very new.

I like to lay out all my letters before stringing them up with a piece of vintage style ribbon.

I corrected the letter “I” in the cut file to have two holes instead of the one pictured here!

All ready to string up and decorate your favorite door, chair, window, headboard or classroom!
